Untersteinach (dpa / lby) - A 70-year-old car driver was killed in a traffic accident in Upper Franconia.
According to the police, the woman drove into a car on the 2181 state road near Untersteinach (Kulmbach district) on Thursday, the driver of which wanted to turn left and had to wait because of oncoming traffic.
According to the investigators' findings so far, the 70-year-old fell into the left lane due to the impact and was rammed by an oncoming car.
She succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.
The three occupants of the other two cars were injured and taken to hospital.
The state road and the railway line running next to it were temporarily closed.
