“The United States does not stop efforts to spin up the sanctioned flywheel against Russian enterprises in world markets. This time they are trying to oust our economic operators from Venezuela, while companies from American jurisdiction continue to operate in this country. This is another clear example of unfair competition, ”the diplomat said in a statement on Facebook.
The embassy noted that the application of national legislation outside the country is unacceptable.
“Russia has consistently advocated an inclusive dialogue between all significant Venezuelan political forces without destructive outside interference,” diplomats said.
Earlier, Rosneft called the sanctions against Rosneft Trading SA illegal and unreasonable.
The United States announced the imposition of sanctions against the Vice President of Rosneft, Didier Kasimiro.
The Venezuelan sanctions list included the Rosneft Trading SA structural unit, whose chairman of the board is Kashimiro.
Commenting on Washington’s decision, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the Russian side does not accept the restrictive measures by which the US is trying to “subordinate the whole world to its will.”
