Erfurt (dpa / th) - In the Thuringian vaccination centers, a total of 5350 employees at elementary and special schools and in kindergartens are expected to have the first corona vaccination on Sunday.
All available appointments for vaccination with the Astrazeneca agent have been assigned, said Jörg Mertz, vaccination coordinator of the Thuringia Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, on Friday upon request.
The Saturday appointments for other people under 65 years of age from priority group 2 have also been assigned, and a total of more than 10,000 people are injected at the weekend.
"You can tell that the desire for a vaccination is great."
Appointments in priority group 2 have been running in Thuringia since Tuesday, parallel to the vaccinations for over 80 year olds and under 65 year olds from the highest priority group and the staff of primary schools, special needs schools and daycare centers.
Appointments for the latter group began on Thursday.
The rush was great.
