For the second time this year, the Eurojackpot is filled with 120 million euros - for most people this is an almost unimaginable sum, especially in the unlikely event that they will also win it.

The chance of winning a grand prize in this lottery is one in 140 million.

Since September 13, no one has managed to correctly guess the five winning numbers plus two euro numbers within 15 draws.

Most recently, the profit pot had grown to 118 million euros on Tuesday.

Once again, not a single player from the 18 European countries participating in this lottery correctly guessed the numbers drawn in Helsinki, Finland – 18, 32, 39, 42, 44 plus 4 and 7 (no guarantee).

Such high jackpot sums have only been possible since a rule change for the tenth anniversary of the Eurojackpot lottery in March 2022.

Previously it was up to 90 million euros.

In addition to the Friday draw, a second draw was introduced on Tuesday.

Unlike the 6 out of 49 lottery, for example, there is no compulsory payout here.

That means: 120 million euros remain in the Eurojackpot until all drawn numbers have been typed correctly.

This sum was reached for the first time in July and then won in the first draw.

The record sum went to Denmark.

There has never been a lottery win of this magnitude in Germany.

The highest so far: In May, a syndicate from North Rhine-Westphalia won 110 million euros.

Prize class two (five plus one right) benefits from the upper limit.

Because the profit that theoretically accumulates in the first stage through the stakes flows over there.

According to the participating lottery companies, the total stake on Tuesday was around 54.85 million euros.

The larger the jackpot, the more money tends to be played.

Typically, Friday draw totals are higher than Tuesday draw totals.

This also applied to last Friday with around 75.6 million euros.

A playing field with five out of 50 numbers and two out of twelve euro numbers costs two euros plus the processing fee of the state lottery company (per lottery ticket).

There are twelve prize categories, the jackpot is at least ten million euros.

Due to the "profit overflow" there will be around 19 million euros in the second profit class next Friday.

Such a goal was achieved twice on Tuesday: In Germany and Sweden, the winners each received almost 1.8 million euros.

The probability of winning this is one in 6.99 million, so it is also negligible.

In addition to Germany, the Eurojackpot lottery is also played in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
