Cross-provincial direct settlement of hospitalization expenses runs stably

　　As of the end of August 2022, there were 59,500 designated medical institutions for cross-provincial direct settlement of hospitalization expenses across the country.

From January to August, 3.662 million person-times of hospitalization expenses were directly settled across provinces, involving 82.186 billion yuan of medical expenses, 48.217 billion yuan of fund payment, and the fund payment ratio was 58.7%.

In August, 622,700 person-times of hospitalization expenses across the country were directly settled across provinces, involving 14.113 billion yuan of medical expenses and 8.391 billion yuan of fund payments, an increase of 8.6%, 11.5%, and 11.7% month-on-month respectively, and the fund payment ratio was 59.5%; the average daily direct settlement 20,088 person-times, the average medical expenses per time is 22,700 yuan, and the average fund pays 13,500 yuan per time.

Remarkable results have been achieved in the direct settlement of outpatient expenses across provinces

　　As of the end of August 2022, 72,800 designated medical institutions and 186,900 designated retail pharmacies have been connected to the national direct settlement of outpatient expenses across provinces.

From January to August, 17.2499 million outpatient visits were directly settled across provinces across the country, involving 4.139 billion yuan in medical expenses, 2.475 billion yuan in fund payments, and a fund payment ratio of 59.8%.

In August, 3,207,700 cross-provincial outpatient medical expenses were directly settled across the country, involving 769 million yuan in medical expenses and 449 million yuan in fund payments, up 10.1%, 13.4%, and 9.6% month-on-month respectively, and the fund payment ratio was 58.4%; the average daily direct settlement 103,475 person-times, the average medical cost per time is 239.68 yuan, and the average fund payment per time is 140.06 yuan.

The National Medical Insurance Service Platform APP further expands the query function related to the settlement of medical treatment in different places

　　In order to facilitate the insured to seek medical treatment in different places across provinces and directly settle the treatment costs related to 5 kinds of outpatient chronic diseases, the National Medical Insurance Service Platform APP has added query functions such as the notification letter of chronic diseases in inter-provincial outpatient clinics.

The insured can download the APP of the National Medical Insurance Service Platform, click on the "remote location filing" column, and use the "door slow special notification letter" and "door slow special qualification" query functions in the sub-column of "remote medical treatment" to learn about the outpatient clinics they have. The qualifications for chronic and special diseases and the policies and procedures for the direct settlement of chronic and special diseases in outpatient clinics in the participating places.

At present, the direct settlement of 5 kinds of outpatient chronic and special diseases related treatment expenses across provinces and other places is still in the pilot stage.
