58% of Emirati women working in the Ministry of Finance out of its total employees

Younis Al-Khoury: "The UAE has demonstrated its ability to achieve global leadership in the field of supporting women."

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Younis Haji Al-Khoury, confirmed that the ministry has made great efforts to empower women and develop their capabilities and skills, and provided them with the opportunity to be an active element in designing and implementing initiatives and projects and achieving achievements.

He said that "the percentage of Emirati women working in the ministry amounted to 58 percent of the total employees, which reflects the great role that the ministry gives to Emirati women."

Al Khouri added, in a statement on Emirati Women’s Day, that “the UAE has demonstrated its ability to achieve global leadership in the field of supporting women, which was confirmed by obtaining advanced positions in global indicators for achieving gender balance, as a result of launching and supporting the wise leadership’s initiatives And many projects aimed at empowering women and enhancing their presence in society, in addition to the support provided by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (Mother of the Nation), which consolidated the ability of Emirati women to occupy senior positions. It contributed to developing the educational and creative capabilities of Emirati women and enhancing their opportunities to occupy leadership positions.”

He added that Emirati Women's Day is an important occasion to recall the great achievements made by Emirati women in various sectors throughout the country's history.
