“From June 12, the minimum base rate on a loan for any purpose is 14.9% per annum,” the credit institution said in a statement.

It is also noted that in the first month the loan rate will be 8.9% per annum, and for SberPrime + subscription holders - 6.9% per annum with a loan amount of 300 thousand rubles and more and for a period of one year.

The bank explained the adoption of the corresponding decision by the reduction of the key rate by the Central Bank of Russia.

On Friday, June 10, the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia decided to cut the key rate from 11% to 9.5% per annum.

As explained in the Central Bank, the external conditions for the Russian economy are still difficult, but inflation is slowing down faster than expected, and activity is declining on a smaller scale than expected.
