The most serious incident occurred at Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem just two days ago.

Family members of a patient from East Jerusalem who had just died physically attacked medical staff with the help of broken bottles, among other things.

A whole intensive care unit was then ransacked.

“

Significant and dangerous rise in violence

 ”

Acts of violence that occur more and more often, as stated by Dr. Ella Kitroser, gynecologist and member of the committee of specialists of the Israeli association of doctors.

“

Death threats

The doctors' association emphasizes that these acts of violence are the work of all layers of society and not just an emanation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

For example, doctors in charge of the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign are regularly targeted by death threats.

Medical associations are calling for a police presence in every hospital facility and tougher penalties for troublemakers.
