Zhongxin Finance, April 26 (Reporter Li Jinlei) The number of college graduates in 2022 is expected to be 10.76 million, a record high.

What is the employment situation of the graduates?

From Zhaopin's "2022 College Student Employability Survey Report".

Expected monthly salary to drop to 6295 yuan

According to the "2022 College Student Employability Survey Report" released by Zhaopin Recruitment, the current domestic epidemic situation is repeated, economic development and the employment market are under pressure, and the proportion of fresh graduates who feel very fierce job hunting competition this year is 61%, 6 percentage points higher than last year.

This class of graduates is very pragmatic and has taken the initiative to lower their employment expectations.

55% of the graduates lowered their expectations due to external factors such as the economic environment, and only 27.2% of the graduates had higher expectations.

The data shows that the average expected monthly salary of 2022 graduates is 6,295 yuan, down about 6% from last year's 6,711 yuan.

Among them, the proportion of expected monthly salary below 4,000 yuan is 12.8%, which is higher than 8.9% in 2021; the proportion of expected monthly salary above 6,000 yuan is 44.6%, which is lower than 50.8% in 2021.

It also shows that graduates are willing to lower salary requirements to adapt to the job market.

Among the contracted fresh graduates, the average contracted monthly salary is 6,507 yuan, which is 12% lower than the 7,395 yuan in 2021.

Among them, 10.7% of the contracted monthly salary reached more than 10,000 yuan, 8.5 percentage points lower than last year; graduates with a monthly salary of less than 3,000 yuan accounted for 6%, 1.5 percentage points higher than last year.

The average contract salary has fallen, in line with graduates' psychological expectations of salary.

Enthusiasm for SOEs continues to rise

For the preferred type of employment company, state-owned enterprises are still the first choice for graduates, accounting for 44.4%, up from 42.5% in 2021.

The report believes that the popularity of state-owned enterprises and the rising tide of public examinations together reflect the intensification of the graduates' attitude of seeking stability in choosing jobs.

In addition, it may also be related to the expansion of enrollment by state-owned enterprises for college students after the epidemic.

At the same time, the proportion of graduates who choose micro enterprises and small enterprises in 2022 will be 3.6% and 34.4%, higher than 1.8% and 28.7% in 2021.

This is a pragmatic choice under increased employment pressure, in line with the expected decline in monthly wages.

This is also a good time for small and micro enterprises to reserve new forces.

"Kobo fever" may be on the rise after "postgraduate fever"

According to data released by the Ministry of Education, in 2022, 4.57 million people will sign up for the national postgraduate admissions exam, an increase of 800,000 from last year and an increase of 2.56 million from five years ago.

The "postgraduate entrance examination fever" has delayed graduates' job search time and the process of finding a job. Some graduates wait for the postgraduate entrance examination results to be announced before entering the job market.

Meanwhile, "Kobo fever" may be on the rise.

In 2022, 11% of master's students choose to "continue their studies in China", which is significantly higher than 4.3% in 2021.

The report pointed out that, on the one hand, domestic doctoral talents are still relatively scarce, and the salary level has obvious advantages compared with other academic qualifications, which attracts more master students to take a doctorate; Penetration into "Kobo fever" is worthy of attention.
