China News Service, Beijing, March 1 (Reporter Ruan Yulin) According to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on the 1st, China's non-manufacturing business activity index in February was 51.6%, which has been stable at more than 51% for two consecutive months. Non-manufacturing business activities showed signs of stabilizing and rising.

Since there is no composite index for non-manufacturing industries, the business activity index is usually used internationally to reflect the overall changes in the economic development of non-manufacturing industries.

Data show that in February, China's non-manufacturing business activity index was 51.6%, up 0.5 percentage points from the previous month.

In terms of different industries, the business activity index of the construction industry was 57.6%; the business activity index of the service industry was 50.5%.

Among the 21 industries, 14 industries including air transport, postal services, finance, housing construction and civil engineering construction are above 50%; 7 industries including accommodation, wholesale, real estate, residential services and repairs below 50%.

The analysis believes that, on the whole, in February, driven by the advance of policies and festival factors, the non-manufacturing industry maintained signs of stabilizing and rising, business activities increased, and corporate expectations remained optimistic.

However, the market demand performance is relatively weak, and the short-term release momentum is insufficient.

In February, the new orders index fell slightly by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, running at around 47% for two consecutive months.

On the one hand, February was the Spring Festival, and the market demand mainly for the wholesale industry showed a trend of correction in the off-season, which inhibited the release of short-term market demand.

On the other hand, the spread of the epidemic still exists, which still affects the demand of some service industries.

Under the combined influence of the early release of demand and the epidemic, the market demand in the retail industry has declined.

The analysis said that with the release of investment demand after the Spring Festival and the mitigation of the impact of the epidemic, the non-manufacturing industry is still expected to continue to maintain a stable and rapid operation.

In order to alleviate the impact of the epidemic on the service industry, the government has recently issued a number of policies, which are conducive to improving the market environment of the service industry, reducing the operating pressure of service enterprises, and providing a strong guarantee for the accelerated recovery of the service industry.
