According to François Villeroy de Galhau, growth in France is "good".

"It's good news. It was 6.7% last year. It's the highest for 50 years. It should be 3.6% this year. But if we don't do something, we let's come back, once the Covid catch-up effect has dissipated, below 1.5% growth. This is not enough", he warned at the microphone of Europe 1.

"We at the Banque de France believe that we can add half a point to this growth. That would change everything. To gain this 0.5 point [of growth, editor's note], there is roughly a third of European reform , it's the digital and ecological transformation, and it's on the right track.
