Ganshen high-speed rail officially opened

The opening of the Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway has formed a fast passenger transport corridor between Jiangxi and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay. The former Central Soviet Area of ​​Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong has ushered in new development opportunities and has become a happy line for the communication between the two places.

  The Ganshen high-speed railway starts from Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province in the north to Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province in the south, with a total length of 434 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 13 stations on the entire line.

The Jiangxi-Shenzhen high-speed railway is an important part of my country’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed railway network. The express passenger passage in Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area.

  The Ganshen high-speed railway passes through many cultural landscapes and nature reserves, with complex geological conditions and difficult construction.

China Railway Group organized the participating units to promote high-quality and efficient project construction, and erected a number of key bridges such as the world's largest span and widest four-line high-speed railway ballastless track pre-stressed low-tower cable-stayed bridge-Jiantan Dongjiang Bridge, etc. The project was completed as scheduled.

323 bridges and 157 tunnels were newly built across the line, with a total length of 387 kilometers.

  The opening of the Ganshen high-speed rail reduces the fastest travel time from Ganzhou to Shenzhen from 5 hours 32 minutes to 1 hour 49 minutes.

At present, the railway department has arranged to operate 22 pairs of mobile trains, with an initial operating speed of 300 kilometers per hour.

When the national railway operation chart is adjusted on January 10, 2022, trains will be arranged according to daily, weekend, and peak routes, and up to 92 pairs of mobile trains will be operated in a single day.
