"

We are approaching the point where I will no longer be able to guarantee the continuity of knowledge

" on the Iranian nuclear program, lamented Rafael Grossi at the opening of an IAEA board of governors in Vienna.

Returning from Tehran, the head of the UN agency certainly spoke of "

constructive discussions with Iranian officials, but without any results

 ".

Iran continues to restrict access to nuclear sites that the IAEA must monitor, in accordance with the 2015 nuclear agreement. This monitoring is done using cameras that Iran has unplugged or by inspectors from Iran. the international agency.

But some of them have been subjected to "

 excessively intrusive searches

", according to the IAEA

Many gray areas

Another black point: four sites have not been officially declared, even though nuclear material has been detected there. These gray areas are added to other findings of the IAEA: Iran is accumulating enriched uranium to a degree of concentration and in quantities which constantly move away from the limits of a civilian nuclear program. . So many hot topics for negotiators who will meet in Vienna next Monday, November 29 after five months of suspension.

The US envoy Robert Malley, however, warned that the United States will not remain "

 with folded arms

" if Iran does not negotiate in good faith to save the agreement on its nuclear program and continues to develop it.

Donald Trump's United States turned its back on this historic compromise in 2018.

Iran has since crossed many red lines, particularly on uranium enrichment.

a bad sign

" before the resumption of Iranian nuclear negotiations Monday in Vienna.

We thank the director general

" of the UN agency "

for his efforts and are disappointed that Iran has not seized the opportunity it was given to cooperate,
