The Games Organizing Committee, together with Toyota Motor Corporation, which provides passenger cars at the Games, said that it had developed a system to guide users to their destinations using a smartphone app, at a depot on the site of the former Tsukiji Market in Chuo Ward on the 1st. released.



This system is scheduled to be used when about 4,000 target people from the IOC = International Olympic Committee and international sports organizations travel by car, and users will use the app when booking a car. If you enter the destination in Japanese or English and the driver reads the user's ID card containing the IC chip when boarding, the destination will be automatically displayed in the car navigation system.



The operation status is managed at the operation center in Tsukiji, Tokyo, and it is possible to grasp in real time not only the driving position but also where and how many cars are left over.



The Organizing Committee wants to reduce accidents caused by delays and driver panic by preventing mistakes such as misunderstanding of destinations.
