After three months of closure, independent traders are preparing to open this Wednesday and want a gesture.

While the summer sales should begin on June 23, the Confederation of Independents and the National Clothing Federation requested, in a letter sent to the Ministry of the Economy, their postponement to mid-July, reports RMC, this Monday.

Closed since mid-March, the small shops, which have not made margins, believe that they will not be able to sell at broken prices so early and are calling for the postponement of sales for several weeks.

The "French Days" from May 27

According to RMC, the government wants to wait for the reopening of non-essential businesses to make its decision.

To encourage the French to buy from independent traders, the latter also asked the government to finance an advertising campaign.

But some big brands, which have also been closed for three months, risk slashing prices as soon as they reopen.

In addition, the "French Days", which should be held from April 28 to May 4, will finally take place from May 27, just one week after the reopening of shops.
