A few months after the presentation of the new generation of the Subaru BRZ, its clone, the Toyota GR 86 has just been presented in Japan.
If the first will not be marketed in Europe, the second will be.
Under its hood, there is an atmospheric 2.4-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine developing 232 hp and 250 Nm of torque.

Available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, the Toyota Coupe measures roughly the same as its predecessor and weighs 5kg less.
However, its rigidity is 50% higher thanks to the addition of body reinforcements.
The interior is, unsurprisingly, more digital, with among other things the presence of a 7-inch screen.
The date of marketing in Europe of the GR 86 has not yet been confirmed.
