The period of approval for the construction plan of Shinhanul Units 3 and 4, which had been suspended, has been extended to December 2023.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the 22nd Energy Committee today (22nd) and said, "We have temporarily extended the permit to prevent the disadvantage of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, which may occur when the business license is canceled rather than restarting the business, and to ensure a smooth business termination."

If the construction of Shinhanul Units 3 and 4, which had already invested 780 billion won in the construction of the site, was canceled, a large-scale damages lawsuit was expected, but the decision to determine the fate of the two nuclear power plants was passed on to the next regime.
