The adventure puzzle game "Call Of The Sea" is set in 1934 on a mysterious Polynesian island near Tahiti.

In the first game by the Spanish development studio Out of the Blue, players slip into the role of Norah, who is afflicted by a strange disease.

Norah's husband, Harry, believes the mystery is solved on the uncharted island.

But now he has disappeared without a trace.

So Norah sets out to find Harry and the possible cure.

From the first person perspective, players explore the tropical paradise with Norah.

No other people can be found there - but there are plenty of traces of Harry and other participants in his expedition.

This search for clues focuses on puzzles.

For example, it is important to decipher ciphers and mysterious machines and thereby open gates or lower bridges.

The level of difficulty of the puzzles is particularly successful: They are never so easy that you get bored, but they are also never unsolvable.

Each chapter of the game is a single puzzle that starts out simple and then becomes more complex and layered.

When puzzling, the players are helped first by the spoken comments from Norah and secondly by her notebook: Here the adventurer independently notes down all the clues she has found - and automatically leaves space if something has been overlooked.

So even players with a rather low tolerance for frustration can throw themselves into this adventure with a clear conscience.

"Call of the Sea" by Out of the Blue and Raw Fury is available for PC and Xbox consoles and costs around 20 euros.
