According to the data that Emirates Today obtained a copy of, the number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of last October reached 118,660 hotel rooms within 678 hotel establishments.

The luxurious five-star hotel rooms accounted for 35% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, after it reached 41,329 hotel rooms within 125 hotel facilities, followed by the four-star rooms by 26%, and 31,468 hotel rooms were registered within 149 establishments.

In turn, hotels classified between three stars and one star acquired about 18%, with a capacity of 20,978 hotel rooms within 219 hotel establishments.

Occupancy and yield

The occupancy rate in all hotel establishments reached 51%, with average hotel apartments recording the highest rate of 64%, compared to 61% for luxury apartments, followed by small and medium hotels from the one-star to three-star categories by 56%, while the four-star hotels achieved , And five-star hotels, occupancy rates of 49 and 42% each, respectively.

According to the data, the stay of guests increased to 4.1 hotel nights, while the number of reserved nights reached 15.6 million, and the average daily price for a hotel room was 335 dirhams, to record the return of available rooms about 172 dirhams.

Global markets

With regard to the source of visitors by geographical region, the Dubai Tourism data showed that South Asia ranked first, after it acquired 36% of the total number, followed by the Middle East and North Africa region, and the European market by 16% each.

Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States ranked fourth, with 9% of the total number of visitors, while Africa scored about 7%, North and Southeast Asia 6%, and the Americas 5%, compared to 4% for the Arab Gulf states, and 1% for Australia.

Hotel apartments accounted for about 21% of the total size of the hotel market in Dubai, recording 24,885 hotel apartments within 185 establishments, of which 10 thousand and 430 luxury apartments, and 14,455 medium-sized apartments.
