(Guanlan, Taiwan Strait) The epidemic cannot stop the pace of cross-strait integration. Fujian-Taiwan economic and trade "increases against the trend"

China News Service, Fuzhou, December 8 (Reporter Long Min) The 2020 Cross-Strait Entrepreneur Summit Annual Meeting will be held in Xiamen on December 9. Promoting economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan is an important topic of the conference.

In the context of shrinking global investment and trade and the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan has grown against the trend.

The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce announced on the 8th that from January to October this year, trade between Fujian and Taiwan was 67.1 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), an increase of 10.7% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 6.9% higher than the province’s imports and exports; 948 newly established Taiwan-funded enterprises Home (including third place transfers), ranking first in all provinces and cities in the mainland; actual capital of 3.36 billion yuan, ranking third in all provinces and cities in the mainland.

In September of this year, the mainland's first cross-strait joint-venture fully licensed securities company, jointly initiated by Xiamen Golden Circle Group and Taiwan Uni-President Securities, was inaugurated in Xiamen.

It fills the gap in cross-strait financial cooperation that has not yet been implemented by joint venture securities institutions. It is of great significance to deepen cross-strait financial exchanges and cooperation, promote the accumulation of financial capital and talents in Fujian, and enrich the development of the regional financial industry.

In the face of the adverse effects of the epidemic, Fujian has successively introduced 26 measures for "Two Stability and One Promotion" and 28 enhanced measures, and arranged special funds to encourage Taiwan-funded enterprises to speed up the acquisition of capital.

Since the beginning of this year, Xin Tianhong, Taiwan's largest semiconductor component supplier, has started production in Xiamen. A number of major Taiwan-funded projects such as Gulei Refining and Chemical have accelerated. Taiwan's Chi Mei and Foxconn Industrial Internet have successively landed, and Lianxin IC and other projects have increased capital and expanded production.

Up to now, Fujian has used more than 30 billion US dollars of Taiwanese capital. There are currently tens of thousands of Taiwanese-funded enterprises and more than 800 companies have invested more than 10 million US dollars.

A few days ago, at Jinjing Port in Pingtan, the "Taipei Express" loaded with Taiwanese agricultural and fishery products from Kaohsiung steadily docked on the shore, and the staff were busy inspecting the goods in an orderly manner.

Due to the continuous increase in trade volume, from October this year, the "Taipei Express" has been encrypted from 3 voyages per week to 4 voyages.

Fujian is making full use of its geographical advantages, using the “golden channels” of cross-strait logistics such as direct flights to Taiwan’s main island, such as roll-on routes, container liner routes, and irregular bulk cargo transportation routes, as well as Xiamen Taiwan Fruit Sales and Distribution Center, Pingtan Agricultural and Fishery Products Distribution Center And other platforms, continue to accumulate momentum for the development of trade with Taiwan, and explore new ways for mainland products to use Taiwan routes to enter the global market.

In May of this year, the Fujian International Trade Single Window took the lead in launching an intelligent customs clearance platform, using robots to make intelligent and precise orders with one button. The preparation time for customs clearance has been shortened from the original 24 hours to the fastest 5 minutes.

Since the beginning of this year, the Xiamen area of the Fujian Free Trade Zone has promoted the opening of China-Europe (Xiamen) trains to provide enterprises with new logistics supply lines; the Fuzhou area has completed the first export of the local cross-border e-commerce "9610" and "1210" models, opening Fuzhou to The first cross-border e-commerce charter flight in Los Angeles, USA.

Statistics show that in the first 10 months of this year, trade between Fujian and Taiwan was 67.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.

Up to now, the total trade between Fujian and Taiwan has exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan, ranking among the forefront of mainland provinces and cities.

At present, Taiwanese enterprises, which are mainly export-oriented, are actively embracing the huge business opportunities in the mainland domestic market.

In July this year, the first online promotion matchmaking event of "Taiwan-funded Enterprises Expanding Domestic Sales" was held in Fujian. 100 Taiwan-funded enterprises and more than 200 mainland-funded enterprises were effectively matched more than 1,000 times, and the intention to sign contracts amounted to nearly 1 billion yuan.

At the matchmaking meeting, Yonghui Supermarket Fujian Branch and Want Want Group Quanzhou Factory signed a letter of intent for annual purchases of 38 million yuan.

The person in charge of Want Want Group said that Taiwanese businessmen want to change from export to domestic sales, and they should start with multiple channels such as online e-commerce platforms and online celebrity live broadcasts.

The Taiwan-related exhibitions held intensively during the same period also played an active role in promoting trade between Fujian and Taiwan, opening up markets, and promoting exchanges and cooperation.

The 4th Cross-Strait Food Fair attracted 62 Taiwan-funded enterprises to participate; the 13th Cross-Strait (Quanzhou) Agricultural Products Purchasing and Ordering Fair reached 163 cooperation intentions with an intention of 740 million yuan.

The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce disclosed that at the end of the year, the "Quan Min Tesco" New Year's Eve Purchase and the Second Commercial Expo will set up a Taiwan boutique pavilion.

Su Meixiang, deputy director of the Institute of Modern Taiwan Studies of the Fujian Academy of Social Sciences, believes that in the face of the epidemic, the enthusiasm of the Fujian and Taiwan industries in seeking exchanges and cooperation and common development has not diminished, and the development of cross-strait integration is unstoppable.
