Last year, the central government specially issued opinions to support Fujian in building a cross-strait integrated development demonstration zone. Air routes have resumed; Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Pingtan have launched more than 2,000 rent-free and public rental housing for Taiwanese compatriots.
Last year, Fujian ranked first in the mainland in terms of the number of newly established Taiwanese enterprises and the scale of actual utilization of Taiwanese capital. The cumulative trade between Fujian and Taiwan exceeded 1.5 trillion yuan in 2023.
