The Bosch factory in Onet-le-Château, on the outskirts of Rodez, now employs 1,320 people.

Worried about the future of the site, hit by the diesel crisis, local elected officials are mobilizing.

In a letter addressed to the president of the Bosch group, Volkmar Denner, they ask him to invest in this factory specializing in the manufacture of spark plugs and diesel engine injectors.

“It is up to the powerful group that you chair to ensure its responsibility as an industrialist with regard to a country, France, a region, Occitania and a territory, Aveyron, which have welcome you and participate in the development of the site ”, write in particular the president of the regional council of Occitanie Carole Delga, the president of the departmental council of Aveyron, Jean-François Gaillard, and the president of Rodez Agglomeration Christian Teyssèdre.

A privileged Turkish site

“The Bosch group must make the trade-offs to strengthen industrial policy in Europe and desired by the States.

However, for thirty years, the Bursa site in Turkey has been reinforced to 7,000 employees and still benefits from additional investments.

"

The document emphasizes the strengths of the Onet-le-Château factory "equipped with modern machine tools and robots which supports a whole employment pool".

“We confirm our willingness to participate in efforts to diversify into new sectors [including hydrogen], for the training of employees.

»The site in the Ruthenian suburbs is today the largest private employer in Aveyron.
