The autumn harvest is nearing the end, and the price of main grains is higher than the same period last year.

According to Hu Youlin, director of the Planting Division of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the process of autumn harvest in Inner Mongolia is currently accelerating. The harvest of wheat and potatoes has been completed, the harvest of soybeans has reached 99%, and the harvest of corn and rice has reached 92%.

Since the launch of autumn grains, the prices of main grains in Inner Mongolia have been higher than the same period of the previous year.

Hu Youlin said that according to weather changes and the maturity of crops, all parts of Inner Mongolia will reasonably arrange the schedule of autumn harvests so that one piece will be harvested in time.

For crops that have been damaged by disasters and land that cannot be harvested by large-scale machinery, small harvesters or manual harvesting are used to ensure that all the crops are collected and the particles are returned to the warehouse.

At present, Inner Mongolia has strengthened the guidance of autumn grain storage technology to help farmers do a good job in grain collection, storage and drying, to avoid the later snowfall causing mildew on grain crops, and to ensure that farmers have high yields and harvests.

It is understood that the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is not only one of the four provinces with more than 100 million mu of arable land in the country, but also one of the country’s 13 major grain producing areas and 8 grain export provinces.
