TESLA

This Tuesday, Tesla organized, in California, an event called "Battery Day" to unveil the plan that will allow the manufacturer to manufacture its own batteries and thus limit costs.

But that's not all.

Tesla also took the opportunity to present a new vehicle: the Model S Plaid, reports

.

This third version of the sedan of the electric vehicle brand is announced with a range of over 830 kilometers.

This represents much more than the “Grande Autonomie” model which displays around 500 kilometers of autonomy.

A release scheduled for 2021

In addition to this greater autonomy, the Model S Plaid is supposed to offer increased performance at the wheel with a passage from 0 to 96 km / h in less than two seconds thanks to the three engines bringing together some 1,100 horsepower under the hood.

On the price side, records are also broken: this new Tesla is already available for pre-order at a price of 134,490 euros, which makes it the most expensive model of the brand.

To pre-order it, a deposit of 5,000 euros must be paid to the manufacturer, pending the release of the car scheduled for 2021.

At the same time, Tesla has promised that a much more accessible model, around $ 25,000, is currently in the works.

It should be formalized within three years by the American manufacturer.
