  Data show that in April, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 3.9% year-on-year, and decreased by 1.1% in March; the chain increased by 2.27% month-on-month. From January to April, the added value of the industrial enterprises above designated size fell by 4.9% year-on-year, a decrease of 3.5 percentage points from January to March.

  In terms of three major categories, the growth rate of the manufacturing industry rebounded significantly, with a year-on-year increase of 5% in April and a decrease of 1.8% in March. In addition, the added value of the mining industry increased by 0.3% in April; electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply increased by 0.2%.

  At the press conference held on the same day, Liu Aihua, director of the Department of National Economic Comprehensive Statistics and spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, pointed out that from the industry perspective, the value-added of 28 industries in 41 major industries realized year-on-year growth, and the growth area was expanded. . From the perspective of products, 60% of the 612 commodities recorded have achieved year-on-year growth, and the growth of products has expanded by more than 20 percentage points from the previous month.

  From the perspective of relevant indicators, industrial power consumption in April increased by 1.6% year-on-year, compared with a decrease of 2.8% last month.

  It is worth noting that the added value of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing increased by 10.5% and 9.3%, which was 6.6 and 5.4 percentage points faster than the above-scale industries. The output of some high-tech products continues to maintain rapid growth.
