The total assets of the two telecommunications companies trading in the UAE financial markets continued to rise during the first quarter of 2020, reaching 146.8 billion dirhams, an increase of 1.2%, compared to 145.1 billion dirhams in the same quarter of 2019.

The revenues of "Etisalat" and "Du" from the telecommunications services "mobile phone" and "fixed" reached about 7.78 billion dirhams at the end of the first quarter of this year, accounting for about 48.3% of the total revenues achieved by the two companies at the end of last March.

Usually revenues from mobile phone services and data service constitute more than 85% of the total annual revenues of the two companies, according to what the financial data analysis shows.

On the profitability level, the net profits of each of Etisalat and du during the first quarter of this year amounted to 2.9 billion dirhams, according to the financial statements issued by the two companies.

While the profits of Etisalat reached 2.534 billion dirhams during the first quarter, the profits of «du» amounted to 355 million dirhams.

On the assets side, for Etisalat, it reached approximately 130 billion dirhams during the first quarter of this year, and about 16.83 billion dirhams for "du" in the same monitoring period.

Revenue recorded 13.113 billion dirhams for Etisalat from the beginning of 2020 until the end of last March, while it reached about 2.988 billion dirhams for "du".
