In order to expand exports of agricultural products, a trial export of apples has started in India with a population of 1.3 billion. Apples from Aomori Prefecture are expected to be shipped within the year at the earliest, and are expected to be a new export destination.

Exports to India include “Fuji” and “Wanglin” produced in Aomori Prefecture, which will be shipped 10 trials from the end of this month at the earliest.

This is the first time apples are exported from Japan to India.
