November 14th 5:46 am for subsidies to purchase small electric vehicles for senior transportation

The government has established a policy of subsidizing small electric vehicles that are expected to replace senior passenger cars. As accidents by older drivers continue, the aim is to support the spread of small electric vehicles that are less speedy.

Small electric vehicles have a maximum speed of about 60 km / h and are easy to drive with small turns, so they are expected to be an everyday means of transportation for seniors to replace passenger cars.

However, the price of about 900,000 yen for a single-passenger model is an issue for dissemination.

For this reason, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to subsidize the purchase of small electric vehicles from the next fiscal year in an effort to reduce the burden on consumers when purchasing.

EV = A subsidy system for purchasing electric vehicles, and we are considering ways to add small electric vehicles as a target, so we want to decide the specific amount of subsidies in the future.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry wants to further promote the use of sharing services in addition to subsidy purchase support.
