Seven-Eleven Late-night short-time experiment 15% of stores are considering participation October 10 22:00

“Convenience store 24 hours a day” becomes a problem, “Seven-Eleven” is considering participation in an experiment that is closed at midnight in a questionnaire for member store owners in July. We revealed that the number of stores is about 15% of the total.

Seven-Eleven has been conducting experiments to reduce business hours since March, amidst the shortage of manpower. In July, more than 20,000 affiliates nationwide were informed about the necessity of late-night business. We conducted a questionnaire survey for stores.

As a result, there were responses from approximately 14,000 stores, of which approximately 15% of member stores responded that they wanted or were considering participating in a short-time experiment.

At Seven-Eleven, at the end of last month, approximately 230 stores have participated in the short-time sales experiment, and an additional 120 stores want to participate.

Ryuichi Isaka, President of Seven & i Holdings, said at a press conference, "I would like to continue to confirm customer needs through experiments and continue discussions with member store owners and respond carefully to each store." .
