According to Novak, while the issue of gas transit prices has not been discussed at the talks.

“This is all considered and evaluated in terms of competition with other gas transmission systems ... And this will be within the framework of existing tariffs that are in force in Europe today,” the Russian minister emphasized.

Earlier it became known that a new round of trilateral gas negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the European Commission will be held on October 28.

At ministerial level gas consultations held on September 19, Russia proposed extending the agreement on gas transit through Ukraine for a short period, unless new requirements of the European Union are introduced before January 1, 2020.
