The Novomoskovsk City Court granted the petition for the parole of former student Nikita Mikheenko, who was sentenced to seven years under "drug" article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This was announced by his mother Raisa Mikheenko. The decision will take effect in early October. Earlier, after the publication of RT about inconsistencies in the criminal case, the judge did not find evidence of Mikheenko's guilt in attempting to sell the substances found by the police, and the young man's sentence was reduced to 4.5 years.
