Urdangarin is free this Tuesday upon completing his sentence of five years and ten months for corruption. The ex-husband of Infanta Cristina was sentenced by the Palma Court to six years and three months in prison for embezzlement, prevarication, fraud against the Administration, two tax crimes and influence peddling.

In March 2022, he was paroled after serving two-thirds of his sentence and found a job at a law firm in Vitoria, where he met his current partner.
