The Russian Federal Security Service has prevented terrorist attacks in Kabardino-Balkaria. This is stated in the message of the department.

“During the processing of operational information in a forest near the villages of Chernaya Rechka and Altud of the Urban District of the KBR, a cache was discovered with two improvised explosive devices of high power ready for use,” the ministry said.

After that, FSB officers, together with the region’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, identified and detained the criminal who manufactured and hid the devices.

During the interrogation, he admitted that terrorist acts were being prepared against law enforcement agencies and government departments.

“As soon as possible, a resident of the republic previously convicted of a terrorist crime was involved in the manufacture of discovered IEDs and laying a cache. With the measures taken, he was detained in the territory of Nartkal and gave confession statements on the preparation of acts of sabotage and terrorist acts against objects of law enforcement bodies and state structures, ”the FSB emphasized.

In connection with these facts, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 30 and part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Terrorist Act”).
