Andorra They accuse the 'youtuber' TheGrefg of wanting to evict an 80-year-old woman
Last January, many media outlets made public the dispute in court between TheGrefg and a
neighbor from Andorra
.
This Wednesday the judicial resolution was announced, which
agrees with the woman
and represents a hard blow for the YouTuber.
According to 'El Confidencial', the High Court of Andorra
revokes the first sentence
, which gave the green light to the eviction and which the 80-year-old woman appealed.
The content creator had acquired, through one of his companies, a block of flats
with the aim of rehabilitating it
to later rent the apartments.
An elderly woman then claimed that she was
a life tenant of two of those properties
through a verbal contract signed by her husband with the previous owner.
The woman then claimed that the businessman had turned the building into
a place where it was not possible to live
, since he had removed all the doors and windows in the rest of the houses and landings and the cold was unbearable.
David Cánovas
, the youtuber's real name, made a statement for social networks in which he defended his position, alleging, among other reasons, that the lawsuit arose due to non-payment of the tenant's rent.
However, the ruling dictates that
the works must guarantee the habitability of the
rented home, so those openings left when removing doors and windows will have to be well insulated and sealed.
"In a new ruling, the civil chamber of the Superior Court of Andorra rejects the strategy of the famous Murcian influencer and denounces the 'defenselessness' situation of the elderly woman as
the legal reasons for carrying out said action are not correctly justified
. The court concludes that the eviction demand
did not give the reasons why they wanted to cancel the contract", publishes the aforementioned media.
