51 people were referred

A night supervisor in a home for children with disabilities is also among those charged. The arrests were coordinated by the new Office for Minors (Ofmin). "Paedophile content" was discovered during the search, the police source said.

At the end of the police custody, 51 people were detained, the police source added. Other police custody has been lifted while technical exploitations are carried out, in particular of the suspects' phones or computers. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin hailed on X a "major crackdown on paedophilia". "Investigations are still ongoing," he added.
