"NASA and its contractors have made progress since our last report on the Artemis missions, but they still face challenges in developing the lunar lander and spacesuits," the GAO said.

For example, some flight tests were postponed, which affected the timing of subsequent tests.

"As a result, we found that the moon landing mission is unlikely to take place in 2025 as planned," the report said.
