A 53-year-old woman was beaten and left for dead in the streets of Nice on the night of Monday to Tuesday around 3 am. The perpetrator, a man of Angolan origin, fled before being arrested by BAC Nice agents. He was taken into custody.

A 53-year-old woman was the victim of an attack of rare violence on the night of Monday to Tuesday. For reasons still unknown at this stage, a man, of Angolan nationality, chased a woman through the streets of Nice around 3 a.m., before beating her.

The individual allegedly "jumped with both feet" on the victim's head

The main suspect was relentless for long minutes, going so far as to "jump with both feet" several times on the head of the woman, reports a police source to our colleagues in Le Figaro. The individual then fled through the streets of the city before being arrested by agents of the BAC Nice. Left for dead shortly after the assault, the victim's vital prognosis is engaged.

The man arrested is not known to the police and is unlikely to be related or conjugal to the victim. He was taken into custody. The investigation was entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Alpes-Maritimes.
