With espardeñas and sea nettles, it is a tribute to the film of this name directed by Luis García Berlanga and shot in Peñíscola. With sea views, this house run by a hotelier with business in Barcelona combines local products -such as fish and seafood of the day prepared on the grill-, with some raw materials from the Mediterranean and rice from Edu Torres, from Molino Roca (Valencia). The central axis of its menu is, in fact, a list of rice dishes, with both marine and carnivorous or garden recipes. Thus, you can try what looks like the rice of the house, which bears the name of the restaurant: with seasonal vegetables, avocado emulsion, chipotle pepper and cilantro and which is 100% vegan. In addition, there is the mellow organic cheek and seasonal mushrooms, the white prawn from Huelva, the black mellow or the grilled pedredu octopus, apart from the fideuá with shitake, squid, sesame seeds and coriander. Can Carlitos is its headquarters next to the port of Formentera. Its menu allows you to eat in many ways and at different times. The rice dishes are distributed in several sections.
