In its twenty rice dishes, you can order the Valencian paella -in this case, it is only made to order, under a limited edition every day-, the senyoret rice, the vegetable paella, the lobster from the beach or the lobster. These last two are part of the section of rice with fish bottom made with pieces of monkfish, cuttlefish, and squid. In any case, its basis is local products. Paella is served with a wooden spoon. In addition, you can order clòtxina valenciana or beach tlina. On the rice side (with prices of 24.50 to 28 euros per person), it proposes options such as the chicken and rabbit Martínez, the seasonal organic vegetables, the black with Andalusian squid, the "señorito rice of a lifetime" and, as a recent novelty, the blue crab band rice with a spicy touch.

Family business opened in 1967 as the project of Jaime Sanz, a fisherman and hotelier, which his children have continued later. Under a pantry based one hundred percent on the Mediterranean and specializing in "traditional fishermen's stews", rice dishes assume an important part of the menu, with a dozen recipes and one thatstands out above all: Calabuch Rice. With espardeñas and sea nettles, it is a tribute to the film of this name directed by Luis García Berlanga and shot in Peñíscola. There are more options, such as the black Portal Foch, the one from the Peñíscola orchard, the Columbretes, with urchin yolks, red shrimp and young garlic or the De la Abuela, with redfish and squid. Prices from 18.50 to 33 euros.

My Candelita

It is the rice restaurant of Francisco Heras in Bañugues. With sea views, this house run by a hotelier with business in Barcelona combines local products -such as fish and seafood of the day prepared on the grill-, with some raw materials from the Mediterranean and rice from Edu Torres, from Molino Roca (Valencia). The central axis of its menu is, in fact, a list of rice dishes, with both marine and carnivorous or garden recipes. Thus, you can try what looks like the rice of the house, which bears the name of the restaurant: with seasonal vegetables, avocado emulsion, chipotle pepper and cilantro and which is 100% vegan. In addition, there is the mellow organic cheek and seasonal mushrooms, the white prawn from Huelva, the black mellow or the grilled pedredu octopus, apart from the fideuá with shitake, squid, sesame seeds and coriander. The price of rice is between 31 and 35 euros per person.

New for the 2023 season. It is the beach bar of the Elkano team, grill of Getaria (Guipúzcoa), number 22 according to 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants'. Located on the beach of La Barrosa (Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz), it is part of the Iberostar Selection Andalucía Playa, a hotel where Aitor Arregui and his right-hand man, Pablo Vicari, run Cataria. From the experience of this Cadiz headquarters that they have for five years, they have created this format of beach bar, whose menu contemplates a real curiosity: a rice with lobster (price of 35 euros per person). It is one of the businesses in the Balearic Islands of Nandu Jubany, chef with a star in his Catalan house of Can Jubany and with several projects distributed geographically. Can Carlitos is its headquarters next to the port of Formentera. Its menu allows you to eat in many ways and at different times. The rice dishes are distributed in several sections. A la cana is a curiosity to try the Senyorito Can Carlitos, with cuttlefish, monkfish and prawns or the black with prawns and aioli. In paella, you can try the Iberian secret rice with scallop or have the luxury of trying the Formentera lobster (which is charged at 195 euros per kilo of the crustacean).
