Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 2 additionally seized and searched the National Assembly to confirm charges of bribery and violation of the Political Fund Act by Rep. Noh Woong-rae of the Democratic Party.

Prosecutors and investigators are confiscating and searching the server containing the e-mail history used by Rep. Roh today (27th) at the Digital Policy Office in the Communication Hall of the National Assembly.

Prosecutors also seized and searched a server containing data and a computer that Rep. Roh used during his time as the 20th National Assembly Science Technology Broadcasting and Communications Committee at the information system integration management office in the main building of the National Assembly last month.

Rep. Roh is accused of receiving a total of 60 million won from businessman Park Mo in the name of election expenses for the 21st National Assembly from February to December 2020.

Prosecutors believe that while Park delivered the money to Congressman Roh, he made requests for speedy progress in the actual demand verification process of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for the logistics complex development project, support for the solar power project, and personnel personnel of the head of the local tax office and Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. executives.

On the 12th of this month, the prosecution requested an advance arrest warrant for Congressman Roh.

Since incumbent members of the National Assembly have the privilege of not being arrested or detained without the consent of the National Assembly during the session, the National Assembly will hold a plenary session on the 28th and go through the process of voting on the motion for the arrest of Assemblyman Roh.

The motion for arrest is passed if a majority of the current members are present and a majority of the present members agree.

If approved, the court's questioning of the suspect prior to detention will determine whether or not to be detained.

Rep. Roh's side said, "It is a 'political show' by the political prosecution for which there is no practical benefit to re-seize and search the National Assembly's servers that have already been seized." Manipulation,” he protested.
