The prosecution requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to invalidate the passport in order to pressure the return of the sister who helped former Star Mobility chairman Kim Bong-hyun escape.

Detective Division 6 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor's Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Jun-dong) announced that it took such action to secure a new recruit after an arrest warrant was issued for Mr.

It is known that Kim is trying to acquire citizenship by living in the United States for a long time while working at a hospital.

If the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invalidates Mr. Kim's passport, there is a high possibility that he will inevitably choose to return to Korea as it can become an obstacle to the US citizenship screening.

Prosecutors expect that when Kim returns to Korea, they will be able to secure clues to track Kim's whereabouts by executing an arrest warrant.

In order to help his younger brother escape, Mr. Kim is accused of connecting Mr. A, his lover B, and Mr. Choi, former Chairman Kim's lover, with former Chairman Kim through Telegram or KakaoTalk in order to help his brother escape.

Mr. A and Mr. B, who helped former Chairman Kim escape, were arrested on the 20th and 21st of last month.
