The strike ended in one day as the Seoul subway labor and management reached a dramatic agreement.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Transportation Corporation are said to have prepared plans in advance in preparation for the strike, but yesterday (30th) there were many dangerous scenes at the subway station on the way home from work.

First of all, this is reporter Yu Deok-gi.

[No, don't push this!

I don't have a car, so how can I get on it!]

Yesterday, on the way home from work, I was on the platform at Gyodae Station on Seoul Subway Line 3.

It was so full of people that I couldn't move, but the train was already full and I couldn't get on.

Sometimes you get stuck in a door that closes while trying to get on a train.

[Announcement in the station: Trains that have arrived are very crowded, so don't force yourself to ride...]

Yesterday, the first day of the Seoul Transportation Corporation strike, between 6:00 and 8:00 in the evening, the operation rate was 85.7%.

Lines 1, 3, and 4, which are jointly operated with Korail, which is struggling to comply with the law, were also busier than usual, and there were also train breakdowns on Line 3.

At around 7pm, Line 2 was delayed for more than 30 minutes.

There were also cases where it was difficult to get out of the platform even after getting off the train.

Some stations, such as Gangnam Station, Yeoksam Station, and Euljiro 3-ga Station, blocked some of the ticket gates to control the number of users entering the platform.

[Shin Ji-soo/Using Sindorim Station on the way home from work yesterday: People line up even on the subway stairs, and you can't even go up to the platform for a long time, and if there are too many (people) like this, it's a bit dangerous, so I'm worried...]

Transportation measures during commute time in preparation for this strike , but it was all about securing manpower such as partner companies and retirees and intensive bus distribution during work hours.

About 13,000 substitutes, similar in size to the strike six years ago, were put in, but it is pointed out that the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Transportation Corporation were complacent in dealing with unexpected situations, such as sudden crowds of people at certain times or train delays.
