Special Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency today applied for arrest warrants for four people, including former Yongsan Police Station chief Lee Im-jae.

In addition to former Chief Lee, the subjects of the arrest warrant included Park Seong-min, former Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency information chief, Song Byeong-ju, former Yongsan Police Station 112 situation chief, and Kim Jin-ho, former information chief.

This is the first time an arrest warrant has been requested to secure new recruits since the launch of the special edition.

Former manager Park and former manager Kim were charged with destroying evidence by instructing employees to delete the previously prepared Halloween risk analysis information report.

Former chief Lee, along with former 112 chief Song, was charged with manslaughter due to his delay in responding even after the disaster occurred without taking appropriate precautions such as putting in his career.

With the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office accepting the arrest warrant from the police and requesting a warrant from the court, the warrant review is expected to be held tomorrow at the earliest.

The special edition is also reviewing applications for arrest warrants for other major suspects.
