The Police Special Investigation Headquarters (Special Edition), which investigates the Itaewon disaster, launched a compulsory investigation today (17th) against the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Seoul City Hall, and the Seoul Autonomous Police Commission.



The special edition sent 65 investigators to 22 locations, including the Ministry of Public Administration and Security Disaster Safety Management Headquarters Seoul Situation Center, from 2:30 pm on the same day to secure Halloween-related reports and Itaewon accident response data.



The Ministry of Interior and Safety included the Seoul Situation Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Room, Safety Management Policy Office, and Disaster Response Policy Office in the Sejong Government Complex as targets of seizure and search.



The Seoul Metropolitan Government is conducting a search and seizure of eight locations, including the Safety General Division, Safety Support Division, Disaster and Safety Control Room, and Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.



The special version also put investigators in the office and computer room of the Seoul Autonomous Police Commission in Jung-gu, Seoul.
