Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min came to the airport to greet President Yoon Seok-yeol, who was returning from a trip to Southeast Asia.

As it became known that President Yoon said that he had suffered a lot, rumors of his retention were gaining strength, and the National Police Agency's Special Investigation Headquarters hinted at the possibility of a full-scale investigation into Minister Lee.

An official from the special edition said, "If a complaint is filed, you become a suspect," and said that the accused, Minister Lee, is undergoing a separate investigation process apart from notifying the High-ranking Officials Crime Investigation Agency.

The special edition examines whether Minister Lee has the authority to command and supervise the police and whether he has direct legal responsibility to prevent and deal with disasters in relation to the disaster.

Based on the results of the investigation of disaster safety-related employees, such as the head of the Central Disaster and Safety Situation Office of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, who were previously called as references, they are focusing on reviewing legal principles.

As a result of the review, if it is determined that Minister Lee can be held legally responsible, it is likely that a forcible investigation, including seizure and search, will follow.

Along with this, the special version summoned Inspector A, the chief of security at the Yongsan Police Station, as a witness.

Inspector A was a person who directly accompanied Lee Im-jae, former chief of the Yongsan Police Station, managing the assembly and demonstrations in the triangular region on the day of the disaster.

Former chief Lee Im-jae, who is a suspect, will appear in the special edition on the 21st and be investigated.
