A man

sentenced to death in the US

for strangling his wife.

An

English shepherd

who hides other people's secrets... and a huge one of his own.

Two apparently different worlds that end up colliding.

This is how atypical is

the series

From Within

, the new Netflix sensation.

And that you love or hate each other in equal parts.

This

four-episode British production

has a bill that is pure luxury.

Two stars such as

Stanley Tucci

(

The Devil Wears Prada

) and

David Tennant

, the English actor who has legions of fans thanks to series like

Broadchurch

,

Doctor Who

or

Des

.

Both interpreters stand as the great claims of

a series of intrigue that is seen at once

and where Good and Evil are two perceptions that are not always easy to distinguish.

How else to explain that the 'bad' theorist advises in legal cases and the 'good' one is capable of acting as a textbook villain?

A VERY ATYPICAL STORY

In a series that unsettles the viewer at all times and allows them to discuss what is right and what is wrong.

Harry (David Tennant) is

an English pastor who hides a flash drive with porn images

of one of his parishioners.

A decision that is discovered wrong when that portable memory ends up in the hands of Janice, a friend who threatens to report him to the police.

Given this, Harry

decides to lock that person in his basement

with the connivance of his partner.

NOTES OF BLACK HUMOR

How to end the life of that witness gives rise to

strange conversations, loaded with black humor and which, depending on how you look at it, are ridiculous.

Something that makes one wonder if curiosity is the engine of its creators and humor is a trick with which to mislead the viewer.

On the other hand we have Jefferson (Stanley Tucci), a

prisoner sentenced to death in the US

who enjoys a strange privilege.

Nothing less than advising those who the prison director authorizes to resolve his doubts in complicated cases.

A cross between a skilled Hannibal Lecter, a cynical Sherlock Holmes and a prestigious lawyer

whose investigations seem outstanding.

The strange thing comes when he himself admits to having executed his own wife and we see him manifest himself in a logical way.

Fruit, yes, of a doctorate in criminology.

And, furthermore, this death row prisoner collaborates with

a journalist who must solve puzzles outside of prison.

Some clues that he discovers thanks to conversations with a prisoner with a brilliant mind.

Able to pay attention to the smallest of details.

That said: is

From Within

a series to admire or hate?

The best answer would be to talk about it as

an atypical production, which engages and leads us to wonder

if humans are so clumsy as to make mistakes despite our will.

Although, on this occasion, we are talking about victims and violent situations.

The opposition between a

murderer and a priest, between the United States and Great Britain and between what is good and what is not

makes this story more attractive.

Although absurd situations and dialogues that seem like a joke can take the viewer out of the intrigue.
