A mother and son were arrested by the police at a memorial space for victims of the Itaewon disaster, who pretended to be bereaved and received various sponsorships.

Today (15th), the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that it had booked a woman in her 50s and her son, a teenager in his 50s, for fraud in the Samgak area the day before.

They are accused of receiving clothing, cash, and meals after announcing that 'a family member died in a disaster' in a memorial space at Itaewon Station on Subway Line 6.

In addition, they are said to have met actor Jung Woo-sung, who visited the memorial space on the 10th.

Their excessive lies were caught the day before when some Internet media released a list of victims of the disaster.

This is because the people who helped the mother and mother checked the list of victims and found out that they were not the survivors and reported them to the police.

The police, who were dispatched after receiving a report, randomly accompanied them to investigate.

It is known that these mothers admitted most of the charges during the investigation and made a statement to the effect that "it was because I was hungry and had no money."

The police said, "They took measures to return home first because the gains were not large."
