At the time of the Itaewon disaster, there were testimonies that there were three men who disappeared after rescuing dozens of people who were in danger, but their identities were revealed.

It is said that Mr. A in his 20s, who visited Itaewon with his friends on the 29th of last month, fell in a narrow alley next to the Hamilton Hotel and was stuck in the crowd for about 15 minutes. He said that he rescued them from the crowd like radishes being pulled out of a field.

Mr. A added that these three foreigners rescued about 30 people and that he disappeared quietly after the 119 paramedics were dispatched.

However, after the story of Mr. A was revealed, it became known that the benefactor who saved him was three American soldiers, Jamil Taylor, Jerome Augusta, and Dane Vitas, who worked for Camp Casey in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do.

In an interview with AFP news agency, they reported the situation at the time of the Itaewon disaster, including their rescue activities.
