The information given above is the contents of 11 reports released by the police yesterday (the 1st).

However, as a result of our coverage, it was confirmed that a total of 79 reports were received from 6 pm on the day of the disaster to 10 pm when the accident was imminent.

Still, the police just repeated the words that they would go to the scene and check it out.

Near the accident site, there was a police task force that had completed preparations for the rally, but no manpower was put in.

"I think I'm going to be crushed", "I think something big is going to happen"

The transcripts of 11 112 reports released by the police show signs of a disaster.

According to SBS coverage, a total of 79 112 reports were received from the Itaewon area from 6 pm to 10 pm on the day of the disaster, including these 11 cases.

The number of reported cases nearly doubled from 6:00 p.m. to 2 hours, from 28 cases to 51 cases from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. just before the disaster.

It is estimated that many of these 112 reports contain content that can detect the seriousness of the scene.

However, the police response was not satisfactory.

Of the 137 police officers deployed to the scene, none of them were responsible for maintaining security and safety, and the police also announced to the reporters that they would crack down on drugs in the Itaewon area from 30 minutes after 10 p.m.

Even a large police force in charge of security was located not far from Itaewon.

On the day of the disaster, 81 riot police and 4,800 police officers were deployed in various parts of downtown Seoul due to demonstrations by the two major labor unions and progressive and conservative groups. There were over 100 people with experience.

They withdrew when the protest ended around 9 p.m., about an hour before the disaster.

Even at this time when the urgent 112 call was continued, it is inevitably pointed out that the unfortunate sacrifice could have been reduced if this police force had been put in.
