As the identities of the victims have been confirmed, funeral homes are being prepared one after another at funeral homes across the country.

Our reporter is at Sinchon Severance Hospital in Seoul.

Reporter Min-Jun Kim, the victims were transferred to several hospitals. How many victims are there?

<Reporter>

Yes, a total of eight victims were enshrined here at the funeral hall of Sinchon Severance Hospital, and burial places for five of them were prepared.

It was a bit quiet in the morning, but as the full-fledged funeral process started and burial places were set up, mourners continued to walk until late at night.

Families who had sent their precious sons and daughters, grandchildren and granddaughters to heaven first burst into tears everywhere, and acquaintances who had lost long-time friends had to bow their heads to comfort each other.

In addition to Sinchon Severance Hospital where I live, there are 2 people at Seoul National University Hospital, 5 people at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital, and 2 people at Seoul Boramae Hospital, etc.

However, looking at the government's casualty count, I am concerned that there are still many serious injuries.

<Reporter>

Yes, as the number of injured people increased, the Itaewon disaster resulted in a total of 303 casualties.

As of 6 pm today (31st), 154 people have died and 149 people have been injured.

As the identity of the woman, who was not identified until the last, was confirmed as a Korean in her 40s, identification of all 154 people who died was completed.

The number of injured was 33 people with serious injuries and 116 people with minor injuries.

In particular, six teenage middle and high school students died in this accident, and five people were found injured, making it even more pitiful for those around them.

Although medical staff from all over the country, including here at Severance Hospital, are doing their best, it is impossible to completely rule out the possibility of additional casualties as the number of seriously injured has already exceeded 30.
