The prosecution has started a supplementary investigation to indict Kim Yong, vice president of the Institute for Democracy, who was arrested on charges of violating the Political Funds Act.

The 3rd Anti-Corruption Division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office summoned Kim from the Seoul Detention Center and is conducting an investigation.

Prosecutors, who secured Vice Director Kim's new recruit, are focusing on reinforcing investigations to indict the charge of illegally receiving political funds.

In addition, it is known that deputy director Kim is also conducting an investigation into the use of 840 million won received from lawyer Nam Wook.

Previously, Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, made a statement to the prosecution to the effect that Vice President Kim requested financial support last year saying that he was "circling around Gwangju", and it is known that this was reflected in Kim's arrest warrant.

Prosecutors are concentrating on revealing the purpose of this, considering that the 800 million won that Kim received was due to the statement of former general manager Yoo, who was supposed to be the funds for last year's presidential election run by Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.

However, it is known that all the money received by Vice-Director Kim is in cash, so there is no tag left, so it is known that he is focusing on securing the statement of Vice-Director Kim or a third-party eyewitness statement.
